Stephanie Smedile has held a range of operational roles throughout her 20-year economic development career. Prior to starting Waymaker Operations, she managed a hybrid team responsible for website and marketing, customer experience, product and service standards, business technology tools, strategic planning, performance management, and stakeholder engagement at a global organization. She began her career advising small businesses on growing international sales and spent the last decade of her career working with executive leaders to execute strategic operational initiatives. Executives turned to her because of her uniquely high emotional intelligence, facilitation skills, creativity, and organizational systems thinking. Some highlights include overseeing a strategic hiring effort to increase staff by 20%, implementing a global client relationship management system, and designing and implementing key performance indicators in addition to day-to-day human resources and financial management responsibilities.
